Practice

In my practice, Free to Move, I offer group and one-on-one Feldenkrais sessions, as well as yoga, which I’ve been teaching for almost 10 years. Alongside public classes, I hold weekly sessions in Wellington workplaces, such as IRD and the Commerce Commission.

My current Feldenkrais clients include a doctor, a teenager recovering from a stroke, parents and grandparents with chronic pain, and office workers battling OOS. Most come seeking relief from pain. Many also enjoy the new-found self-awareness they experience, and the empowerment to improve the way they move, feel, and live.

Profile

I discovered the Feldenkrais Method® after developing back pain from years of intensive yoga practice. The realisation that I’d been overusing my body was immediate, and I was struck by the depth of learning possible beyond that. The Method quickly became my passion. I now feel privileged to be able to share it with others, and to be a small part of their journeys of discovery.

Moshé Feldenkrais’ background in jiu jitsu inspired me to try Brazilian jiu jitsu (BJJ). As a concrete experience of biomechanics, BJJ has enhanced my understanding of Feldenkrais, as have studies in anatomy.
