This part time experiential course is held on the shores of Wellington harbour at Eastbourne, Lower Hutt.
The 800 hours of training is spread over 4 years from September 2009..... And time flies.
The learning can be integrated into your current work and personal life immediately.
Trainees may use the registered trademarks from July 2011.

Trainees

Training scholarships are available, also assistance with accommodation.

Expected trainees include performers, therapists, sports people, creative thinkers, personal trainers and coaches, teachers, researchers etc, as well as people wanting to explore the work in depth for personal or professional development, an eclectic and exciting mix.
The NZ College of Physiotherapy has invited Feldenkrais Aotearoa NZ to seek accreditation of this programme as an interdisciplinary course.  This will broaden enrolment possibilities for physiotherapists.

Trainers

  • Educational Director is Jerry Karzen , close friend and personal assistant to the late Dr Moshe Feldenkrais, who made him first USA trainer in 1981. Jerry brings a depth of knowledge and experience to this training in his understated, generous and light hearted way.
  • Julie Peck (physiotherapist, Perth) presents the interface of physiotherapy and the Feldenkrais Method in a lucid and sensitive style. Julie confirms her teaching with relevant research.
  • Alan Questel USA, formerly an actor, was trained by Dr Feldenkrais and impressed with his clarity and approachable manner in the second NZ training.
  • Dr Jeff Haller USA, also trained by Dr Feldenkrais and ex-professional sportsman, is well known for his ability to teach the use of self, walking the talk, keeping functioning as a practitioner.
  • Assistant trainer from January 2012 is Stephanie Spink   (physiotherapist, Melbourne)
